New Zealand Certificate in Baking (Fundamentals) (Level 3)

At Skills4Work, you’ll learn by doing. Our 17-week course combines practical training with real-world experience at our Auckland facility, giving you the confidence and skills to step straight into the workplace. As an NZQA Category 1 provider and a Māori and Pasifika Trades Training (MPTT) partner, we’re focused on developing job-ready bakers who can thrive in the industry.

  • How to follow and adapt recipes
  • Mixing, kneading, shaping, and baking techniques
  • Bread, cakes, pastries, and biscuits
  • Decorating, finishing, and product presentation
  • Safe use of baking equipment
  • Food safety and workplace practices
  • Customer service and order preparation

  • Bakery or supermarket baker
