Our Level 2 programme caters to learners in a variety of workplaces who wish to develop their baking skills. It is a distance learning package, which takes approximately 1 year to complete, with on-job assessment to be completed at your workplace.
At the end of the programme you will:
- Have an underpinning knowledge of a diverse range of baking industry roles
- Demonstrate a basic knowledge of food safety, food code requirements, and health and safety
Our Level 3 programme is designed for learners working in small to medium baking enterprises. This distance learning package takes approximately 2 years to complete and can be complemented with additional workshops at the customer's request.
At the end of the programme you will:
- Develop practical skills for basic bread, cake, biscuit and pastry products
- Demonstrate skills and knowledge in bakery science
- Demonstrate a basic knowledge of food safety, food code requirements, and health and safety

Our Baking Programme is carefully structured to make the training process easy to follow for the apprentice, trainer and employer. The off-job workshops are kept to a minimum resulting in less downtime for both apprentice and business.
The Craft Baking Apprenticeship takes approximately 3-4 years to complete. At the end of the programme you will:
- Become a fully qualified baker by demonstrating knowledge of, and practical skills in, baking ingredients, baking legislation, stock management, the baking process and presenting baked goods.
- Be able to create a wide range of bread, cake and pastry products.
Workshops are:
- Scheduled to take place approximately once every 6 months at a suitable venue.
- Heavily geared toward practical learning as well as assessment of unit standards and the theory knowledge requirements of the baking industry.

Our Baking Programme is carefully structured to make the training process easy to follow for the apprentice, trainer and employer. The programme is a mix of learning on the job, completion of distance learning packages, and workshop attendance. Your work will be required to be assessed by your manager in the workplace.
- Workshops are scheduled to take place approximately once every 12 months at a suitable venue.
- Workshops are heavily geared toward practical learning as well as assessment of unit standards and the theory knowledge requirements of the baking industry.
- Approximately 3-4 years to complete.
