Skills4Work Apprenticeships offer an exciting career in mechanical engineering, baking and butchery.

Engineering Image 2Mechanical Engineering deals mostly with things that move and is concerned with the design, construction and operation of engines and machines. Mechanical Engineers also work on heat utilisation and machine design including boilers, heat engines, air conditioning, refrigeration as well as machine hardware. Engineers work in many different industries designing things such as automobiles, aircraft, heating and cooling systems, household appliances, industrial equipment and machinery, weapons systems etc.

Engineering Image 3Mechanical Engineering covers those occupations traditionally referred to as Fitters, Fitters and Turners, Fitters and Welders, maintenance and Diagnostics Engineers, maintenance Fitters, Toolmakers, Precision Machinists and Machine Tool Setters.
